Ladies, and gentlemen, please form long ways sets to learn and dance Sir Roger De Coverly. Take hands along the lines, step foward, bow and or curtsey, and step back. Thats the first and last time we do that. Now we start with the top woman, that's me, and the bottom man, step foward, bow and curtsey. The top man, and bottom woman do the same. Top woman, bottom man turn by right hands. The top man, and bottom woman do the same, Left hands, Both hands, and no hands. Next comes the easy part, called lacing the boot. The top couple cross by right shoulders and go behind the next couple, and so on down the set, on reaching the top they take hands and slip up to the top, cast to the outside walk to the bottom of the set while the rest follow, make a bridge other couples go under, and we start again with a new head and foot couple.
